Our 10th Pak Tor cum 6th Wedding Anniversary
11 Nov 2014 (Tues) - Its our 10th Dating cum 6th Wedding Anniversary today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To start with, the day didn't exactly begin well.
1) For the first time, Kitty was unable to take leave on 11 Nov cos he had an event to attend, so we could only have dinner together.
2) He already bought me my present (iPhone6) in advance, so I wasn't expecting any present nor surprise.
3) I reached home in the afternoon to find out that he sent me flowers, but the delivery failed cos I wasn't home to receive them and the delivery guy didn't even call me! So I was very disappointed, cos I like flowers. This sort of ruined my mood.
4) Kitty told me he would be a little late reaching the dinner venue (you know how much I dislike guys being late)
5) I reached the dinner venue (Singapore Botanic Gardens) only to overshoot the parking lots and entrance and was unable to make a U-turn because it was a one-way road. I had to wind through a super long Tyersall Avenue, get to the main road, go through don't know how many big rounds (plus there were road obstructions so had to use detour) just to get back to my intended destination. Wasted a good 15mins or so just doing that!
Ok anyway, so we were supposed to have dinner at Halia Restaurant located at Ginger Garden at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. We both reached at the same time, and I saw there was a bouquet of flowers for me!!!! Apparently, he was late cos he rushed down to Thomson to collect my flowers from Far East Flora as he didn't want me to be disappointed!
He had already bought me my anniversary present (iPhone 6) in advance, so I wasn't expecting anymore presents. Okay, if have, probably something cheap. I was handed a silver box and opened it to reveal a note and strands of gold paper. I dug deep into the box, and found two paper hearts!!! Wow, so old school but sweet, I thought. Its the first time he folded me any hearts (folding of hearts belonged to my secondary school generation when bus tickets were commonly used).
"Huh, paper hearts?", I asked. Not his style to be THAT cheapo. But sweet, I like.
"You see lah", he said.
I unfolded a heart and found it was actually an e-ticket to watch Mama Mia this Sunday at MBS!!!! WoOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How cool is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Super happy manz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The ambience at Halia was romantic with dim lights on a quiet night. There weren't many diners too. The food was really good. I especially love the mushroom soup which was served with the waiter introducing the ingredients followed by pouring the soup into the bowl from a silver kettle. Its one of the best mushroom soups I ever had. Service was excellent too, even the waitress who so willingly helped us to take photos, haha.
Halia Chilli Crab spaghettini
Grilled Rangers Valley Wagyu Sirloin steak, smoked mash, avocado wasabi puree, heirloon tomato salad, yuzu dressing
The waiter certainly knew his stuff as he took a look at me and asked if I would like to have my steak well done. I never like to have steaks well-done, but what choice did I have being pregnant? I was pleasantly surprised that my steak was not rock hard, and at some parts, crispy and soft! The juices flowed deliciously into my mouth; I like it so much, wahahhahha!
Dessert - The Ginger Garden (served with banana fritters and some sweet stuff, and parts of ginger)
This is the card I handmade for Kitty. I used our thumbprints. Of course, the card was empty when I asked him to stamp his thumbprint lah.
The old cat wasn't expecting anything he likes as he claimed "you always buy me practical things rather than things I like". This time, he got it wrong. Look at his happy face!
Joker took a liking to my black rose pendant.

Our 9th Pak Tor cum 5th Wedding Anniversary
11 Nov 2013 (Mon) - Today is our 9th pak-tor cum 5th wedding anniversary!
We went to The Peak today. The weather is a notch colder than the past one week. Took the tram up and Manx the wind was sooooooo strong it blew our hair in our faces. We went to the Sky Terrace 428, which I personally feel its a waste of money cos it's so windy we only hung around there less than 10mins. C also didn't want to stand around and willingly wore her mittens haha. We had lunch there and walked around The Peak Galleria before taking the tram back down.
C fell asleep the moment we put her into the stroller at the bottom of the peak, lol. Went to Landmark and I bought a new diaper bag at Lesportsac. I think it's cool.
Went to Tsim Sha Tsui and had my Gui ling gao at the same shop. It is going to enter my list of favourite foodies, haha. Went to Harbour City and at my favourite bookstore, bought another two more books for C. Her own choice of cos.
We had our anniversary dinner at BLT Steak. Can't find The Sail restaurant where we had our anniversary dinner 3 years ago. I suspect BLT took over the space cos the layout looks the same and the harbour view also looks very similar. The food was great, very pricey though! c had macaroni and cheese while both of us had steaks.
16 Nov 2013 (Sat) - Went shopping at Raffles City and I bought Kitty this Renoma briefcase that can be slung for his pressie.
Haha, thinking about it, C accompanied us for our anniversary celebration 3 years ago when she was 7 tummy months old and now, 3 years later, she also join us, but she is now 33 months old! How memorable. :)

Our 6th ROM Anniversary!
9 Sep 2013 (Mon) - Today is our 6th ROM anniversary!!! 6 years since we walked down the aisle at Mandai Orchid Gardens, lol. Time flies. Before we have C, we always celebrate simply (bigger one in Nov) by catching a movie and having a good meal. Now with C.... movies are out, haiz.
This year, we decided to go to the Magnum Pleasure Store at Vivocity. We chose our own toppings. Its nice! A lil pricey ($7) for an ice-cream stick but its okay lah, try for fun mah.
Went to Marina Square after that cos this year, I get a small present (usually only get present in Nov) - the pair of Pazzion shimmery shoes that I set my eyes on a week ago!!! Super happy!!! I asked Kitty what he wanted....and the joker said "whatever I choose also use my money to pay so I will choose this pair of shoes, so that you can buy it for me and I will give it to you". DUH.
Had dinner at Hog's Breath Cafe at Chijmes. I think the last time we dined there was don't know how many years ago during dating times also for one of our anniversaries, haha. We ordered a kid's meal for C.
