Customised Wedding Shoes~!

13 June 2007 - For those in the know, I am a shoe maniac. I love shopping for shoes. However, shopping for my wedding shoes was a pain and Melvin and I spent weeks combing the retail outlets in Singapore. It didn’t help that I was on the short side too, lol. There were many beautiful shoes out there in the market, but most are no more than 3 inches high. I needed a pair of 4-inche heels. Moreover, those that were 4-inches high didn’t look good on me.... Sensing my disappointment, Melvin asked if I would like to custom make my wedding shoes. I was rather surprised at his suggestion, as he was always thought that anything custom made is expensive.

We made our way to Leapin’ Lizard, a shop in Tanjong Pagar specialising in customised wedding shoes. We were stuck there for more than 1.5 hours flipping through magazines and albums. With the help of Issac, the shop owner, we decided to custom make a pair of 4-inches high slip-on heels with Swarovski crystals. Very satisfied with the service and now waiting for my fitting in early July. So happy that the shoe hunt is over and done with!

3 July 2007 - Went to Leapin Lizard for my 1st fitting. Sianz...I can't make up my mind on the layout of the crystals at the back of the heels.

13 July 2007 – Went for my 2nd fitting and finally confirmed the design – crystals outlining the sides of the shoes!

26 July 2007 – Collected my wedding shoes!! Besides the crystals outlining the sides of the shoe, Issac even created little flower buds at the heel of the shoes with the crystals! It was perfect and I love it!! Total damage: $280, but oh I love my shoes so much!!!!!
