6 May 2008 – We transferred over to Jazz Bridal (French’s sister company) in April. Phebe and I went to view the gown collection at French Bridal and found to our dismay that not a gown was worth taking a second look. Thankfully, our co-ordinator was based at Jazz Bridal and she suggested that we transfer over. We thus went to view the gown collection at Jazz and surprisingly, it was much better than French! Needless to say, we decided to switch over. The service over here at Jazz is much better too, with friendlier staff!
Our package includes 1 made-to-measure evening or wedding gown and to make sure that she had the gown of her dreams, she diligently bought almost every available bridal magazine months before the first appointment with the designer. She then took pictures of those designs which she preferred and painstakingly compiled them in a WORD document so that she could print it out and show them to the designer.
Having conveyed her preferences to the designer and tried on numerous gowns, we were rather disappointed when we were told that the designer was leaving Jazz Bridal. Fortunately, the new designer, Jovy, was also very experienced, and quickly figured out what Phebe was looking for in a gown.
She also pointed out several gowns for Phebe to try, and even advised her to pick out an off-the-rack gown if possible. This will allow us to spend more on extra photos if we would like to. Taking her advice, Phebe managed to select an off-the-rack wedding gown, but eventually still decided to have her evening gown custom-made.
